Gestalt and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
Therapists seek to create contact with clients. Contact over time creates connection. Connection over time creates relationship. Relationship over time creates intimacy. This relationship is the core of therapy; after all, what is injured in relationship is only healed in relationship.” — Duey Freeman
People seek counseling for many reasons: to deepen connection or resolve conflict with loved ones, to overcome depression, to heal past traumas, to understand the depth of one's anger, to let go of addictive behaviors, to grieve a great loss, for personal growth, or for support during major life transitions. In each of these situations, there is a quality of contact occurring between the client and others in their life that either contributes to or compromises connection and overall healing. My goal is to provide an opportunity for you to discover how you promote this contact and connection and/or how you may inhibit contact in ways of which you are most likely unaware.
I offer Gestalt Psychotherapy & Gestalt Equine Assisted Psychotherapy™ for individuals, couples, and families who want to deepen their level of contact, trust, awareness, and connection with themselves and those they are in relationship with. When people move into the present moment and make contact with what's real, true healing occurs. Appointments may take place on a ranch setting or in my office in Golden. Call or email for psychotherapy inquiries or to make an appointment. |
